France is known for luxury, fashion, romance and most of all its grand architecture and by grand, I mean literally! It is one thing to study French architecture in school; it is an entirely different experience to actually visit the country! I was totally blown away by the structures (size, aesthetics, finishing, decorative art)which are hundreds of years old. However, nothing earned my respect more than viewing Paris from the Eiffel Tower! To think that the city could be that planned with technology not half advanced as what we have presently, is totally commendable.
As an architecture students one of the things you learn through the years is that every line has a purpose, means something; I saw that from the Eiffel tower. You are also taught to have a keen eye for detail; I saw that from the Eiffel Tower. You are encouraged to dream, imagine the impossible; well what I saw that from the Eiffel Tower almost chased the dream out of me but I am undaunted! Whoo! From the Eiffel Tower, I fell in love with architecture all over again and I am inspired more than ever to begin to create.
I commend the French for preserving their priceless heritage. Now, here’s what I saw!
