A five-storey building has collapsed in Maitama, Abuja, injuring four people.
The building, which was still under construction close to the MTN telecommunication office, was said to have collapsed following the previous day's rain.
Three of the injured persons are said to be labourers on the site.
Residents in the area had earlier told PREMIUM TIMES that two people were feared dead from the crash.
But the Information Officer, National Emergency Management Agency, Sani Batti, told PREMIUM TIMES that no life was lost and the agency has been able to rescue four people from the debris.
Mr. Sani, however, said he did not know what could have caused the collapse.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Federal Capital Territory Command, Altine Daniel, who confirmed the incident, also added that the victims who had minor injuries were taken to Maitama General Hospital.
She said the command received a distress call of the building collapse at about 7:15 a.m.
